Reviewing the Situation
A lot has happened since my last post, I am now 64 and living in Yorkshire, I have retired and am having a rethink. I’m not currently sure where I am going with my photography, I have whittled down my equipment a bit. I have lost my mojo, a problem all photographers suffer from from time to time. I don’t think its being in a new area that’s causing this, I was suffering from this before we moved. There is no lack of subject, urban decay, landscape and street photography (Liverpool and Manchester aren’t that far away). I procrastinate too much, street photography in Doncaster is interesting it is a small city and people aren’t that used to it, in London or Manchester you just blend into the background but in Doncaster you are pretty conspicuous, I know this is probably as much to do with me than the locations but all the same I find it difficult to get a flow going. Work on the new house has calmed down a bit which gives me more time to get out with the camera, but as usual I have about five projects to get on with and I haven’t dented any of them.
Watch this space, all three of you.
